Hmm… Fantastic Fest’s description called this a “black comedy,” but I would label it a “grey drama.”
They also said it was “nuanced,” but I’m leaning towards “(too) subtle.” I think I mostly tracked the emotions the female character went through? But I’m not completely sure, and I’m not sure what decisions she really made at the end. It felt like the movie ended suddenly, but maybe it’s just that it ended subtly and I wanted more specificity.
