I enjoyed this mishmash of a movie.
Don’t go expecting an alien abduction movie, or a romantic comedy—it’s 50% each but not 100% either. Even though events between the two overlap, they rarely intertwine. (An interesting writing exercise from that point of view.)
Yet both storylines were interesting and the movie was fun.
And funny, with a killer comedic cast (Sam Richardson, Sofia Black-D’Elia, David Cross). The very opening image tells you what to expect.
I especially enjoyed the abduction scenes, which were well planned out and filmed.
Oh, yeah, and all attendees got a friendship bracelet. Related, of course, to one in the movie.
