I’m on a streak—three movies in a row with fantastic scripts!
This movie came across as so real. The characters were so well drawn, and all the actors played them so well. The dialog was spot on funny yet emotionally grounded. And dark, but still funny. And like any good comedy, had some very emotional and touching scenes. You should add this to your must-see list.
We were lucky that this film was an independent production and received a SAG-AFTRA interim agreement, so many of the actors could be in attendance. The screenwriter was also the lead actress, so in the Q&A she didn’t have to tiptoe around the acting-related questions. Everyone up front said they were in full support of the strike.
