What a tremendous film! I was telling someone earlier that this being a genre festival, good characters are often set aside to make room for action, scares, plot twists, etc. Not so with this film! Real people dealing with an unreal situation. And this all came together! I felt real emotion when the most innocuous actions were being shown on the screen (because you knew what it really meant beyond what was being shown). You’ll have to watch it to see what I mean, and you definitely have to watch it! Bonus: Jason Sudekis’s marvelous performance playing against type.
