An engaging mystery. It seemed slow at times, but paid off with the twists and the gruesome depiction of the crimes underneath it all. At the time I felt like they went too far with what they showed, but that is a testament to the director and/or editor’s skill—they show enough to plant the seeds and your mind takes it from there. The end result is very disturbing.
After I’d driven home I had some questions pop up in my head. But as I heard a screenwriter once say (and I’m paraphrasing), “I don’t care what questions you have once you get home. If they didn’t come up during the movie, you were emotionally drawn in and I did my job.”
