This creative team (writer/actress and director) brought The Fare to Other Worlds in 2018 and I loved it, so I had high expectations for this film. And loved this one, too!
I had an idea for a similar story years ago, but there’s no way I would have turned it into the marvelous script behind this movie. Two psychopaths who marry, expose their nefarious plans for each other on their wedding night, then proceed to play cat-and-mouse games while debating what love is? Yes, please!
And so interestingly edited. Yes, you get half of the idea what this movie is from the trailer. But only half. Plus the details, the way these things are built up and presented to us, are stunning. There is a lot of jumping around between reality and the main characters’ internal thoughts that is thoroughly engaging and stylishly filmed. Which was all planned out in the initial script, according to the producer who was present for the Q&A.
Highly, highly recommended! And now I can’t wait for their next project…
