A delightful and very funny look at societal outcasts learning how to fit in, set in the “wilds” of Scotland.
Everyone in this film did a great job! I laughed countless times at lines of dialog, characters’ mannerisms, the costumes, the compositions of shots, the cuts between scenes… Everything was so well crafted! Special kudos to writer/director Louis Paxton for the way everything flowed together.
Domhnall Gleeson is always fun to watch. And it was also nice to see Gayle Rankin (whom I kind of recognized but had to look up—she was Sheila the She-Wolf in Netflix’s GLOW).
Highly recommended. Especially for the urine scene (it’s not what you think).
