| B- | Austin Film Festival 2021 |
I feel the festival blurb for this film was a bit misleading, pitching it as supernatural and a struggle against a strange cult. Both are slightly true, but this is really a teenage girl’s coming-of-age story which happens to involve the first element and a touch of the other.
As such, it was a decent movie. I was always wondering what was going to happen next. It was a typical low-budget sci-fi film–they had a little money for a few flashy effects, but didn’t require more than that.
The main character was played by a young girl who really is disabled. She did a good job.
