Mostly as I expected, that Jon Stewart does have a serious side and some talent beyond comedy. And this film did have a lot of humor in it, but most of that came from the source material, not from Stewart. What was surprising was the visual shots and effects that went beyond just “close up of this guy talking, now a medium shot of them both…” What I liked about the story itself was the duality of the personal story of the journalist himself, which also allowed examination of the policies of the Iranian government.
