Exactly the type of indie movie I enjoy seeing at festivals.

I cringed at the very beginning of the movie when the lead character, a rideshare driver, starts chatting up her first ride of the day who is obviously not interested in idle chit-chat. I’ve had some drivers with interesting things to say, but talking just because the driver is super social or can’t stand the silence turns me off.

But once the movie really got started and she was having conflicts to deal with, it was a great movie. She had a mantra, “I love my job, I meet really cool people,” and the second part certainly turned out to be true. And she had some family conflicts boiling. I liked the script.

The writer was also the director and star. She did a really good job in all three categories.
