The premise sounded interesting:

Madeline and Owen have invented time travel, but after discovering a mistake in the code that causes a copy of Madeline to appear every day, they must kill each new Madeline to prevent the universe from collapsing in on itself.

Madelines

And I’ve enjoyed other projects by the co-writer/star (Brea Grant). But I was slightly disappointed by this one.

At first it put me off with some illogical inconsistencies. Then I realized it wasn’t strictly a time travel movie, but time travel was the setup for the actual movie. Which was partially a comedy, but a dark one given all the killing. That tonal balance was well done. But in the end, it felt more like the filmmakers had several scenes and situations they wanted to film and wrote the plot and characters to fit. I felt like there were several missed opportunities to explore some deeper truths about human relationships.
