| — | Fantastic Fest 2021 |

According to the description, this film is a labor of love that master animator Phil Tippett (Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and many of your other favorite movies) has been working on for 30 years. And it is extremely visual with loads of detail that, as far as I can tell, was often pulled together to be shot for only a few seconds.

But that wasn’t enough to keep me interested. There was the barest thread of a story in there, occasionally abandoned for many minutes at a time. And while a lot of the visuals were interesting to study, there were a few that were gross enough to turn me off. (There was far more shitting in the first third of the movie than I expected.)

If you want to watch a bunch of oddball creatures doing weird things, give this film a shot. I needed some story to keep me involved.
