This was the first feature by this director. And he pulled everything together to make a full movie with good production values.
It was the script I had problems with. Flat dialog. Characters whose motivations I could not follow (they seemed to randomly change mid-scene). Too much stuff going on that did not all tie together or seemed unnecessary. And honestly, too many cliches and not enough original ideas.
It didn’t help that the sound dropped out for the last six minutes (a problem with the projection system, not the film print). Fortunately there was no dialog during this time, except one final line that the director/co-writer was able to fill in for us during the Q&A. But even without that issue, I would not recommend this film.
