Understand going in that the stand-up comedy in this movie is more of a side plot. There’s a good bit of it and it’s very important to the movie, but this movie is really about the husband/wife relationship. And these characters have a unique relationship.
Very good acting. And I liked Bradley Cooper’s direction. Lots of long takes that show off the actors’ abilities. A lot of close-ups which do the same, though a little disconcerting on the IMAX screen I saw it on. (It was weird to see Will Arnett so scrungy, though I think that was accentuated by the giant IMAX image.)
