A very good Korean cop thriller. I enjoyed the characters and the crime they were investigating. There was one twist I guessed early on, and maybe the filmmakers meant for that to happen, but in the long run it did not detract from the satisfaction of the ending.
Along the way there is commentary on police brutality and vigilantism, so not just an action/thriller. But again, marvelous fight scenes (I’m saying that a lot this festival) and an amazing foot chase through a very interesting and crowded environment.
This was apparently a sequel of sorts to a previous movie called Veteran. I’ll definitely be looking that one up soon.
