The director of this film had a vision. Unfortunately it was one I did not appreciate.
An interesting premise, and some nice touches (some of the characters, some uniquely funny moments).
But by the end, I was tired of the style. Visually dark—only two or three scenes take place during daytime—heavily overcast—the rest at night. (And this is the first time I’ve ever seen a convenience store with no fluorescent lighting or any overhead lighting at all.) And the intentionally emotionless/deadpan acting just wore me out by the end.
