Very interesting film that did a great job of balancing science with the unknown/unbelievable. Lots of science, but also lots of character and human interaction. Highly recommended. My mom was in town and saw it with me, and she enjoyed it as well.
Side note: The writer/director imagined a new technique the characters used to search for signs of advanced civilizations on other planets. The astronomers helping him with accuracy on the film thought enough of it to publish a paper on the technique and plan on using it.
