Another disappointment. I remember after finishing this film feeling like I did not have the energy or desire to write this up, maybe tomorrow. Same the next day. Earlier today I realized I just never got around to it.
There is almost nothing I liked about this movie. The script strung together a bunch of incidents, but not in a way that felt like a movie–everything was too disjointed. I did not feel any chemistry between the singer and record producer characters, so I did not feel there was any relationship brewing there. I only know her changes in life were helping with her music because the linked description told me so, not because I saw it happening on the screen.
One good thing–some of the original songs written for this move were interesting. Other than that, the best I can say is, “Well, it didn’t make me turn it off midway through…”
