An endearing road trip movie where the two main characters find themselves along the way. The type of indie film I’m always looking forward to finding at festivals. Full of fun highs and emotional lows.
The main actress (also co-writer) did a terrific job. The lead actor was okay, but in my mind did not rise to the occasion in the big emotional scene. (But I was fascinated by the character’s hairstyle.)
In the Q&A the filmmakers said they shot the film in two and a half weeks. Amazing given all the locations and all the driving between them (Las Vegas to Portland to San Francisco, with stops in between.) True guerrilla filmmaking.
