Wow, this was a tough movie to watch. Very raw and real. I was unhappy about some of the stuff in the movie, thinking maybe it wasn’t written very well. But on reflection, I think it was unhappiness that people in this position just don’t have any good choices.
Special nod to the lead, Audra Thornton. Throughout the movie I was thinking “Oh, I remember that guy from that TV show 20 years ago” and “How do you get a three-year old to act like that?” But never once did I think “the lead actress is doing a good job”–she just was that character.
