I love a good twisty time movie! And this sub-genre of “peek into the future” (but no one actually travels through time) is, I think, quite challenging to pull off. This movie was so fun to watch while the characters figured out what was going on, experimented with it, and ultimately (of course) ran into trouble.
And technically, it was a marvel. The script meticulously planned out every step down to the second. And apparently this was filmed in one long take. I kept trying to figure out how they always had past and future video available in the shots–some must have been pre-recorded, and others run through the monitor after being recorded just moments before. Observing all that added to the fun of just watching the story.
This was solidly a B+ film until the ending, which popped it up to an A-. Kudos to these filmmakers for a hard job done well!
