This film started out nice and easy towards a three-star rating. Slow boil about twin brothers, both played well by the same actor, directed well as far as putting them both in the same shot as if two different actors, exploring the characters… Then the crisis hinted at in the synopsis happens, and then things turn melodramatic! Like I’m having trouble believing the characters would behave this stupidly and this callously towards each other. I’ve seen some really great films at the festival this year, but also more clunkers than usual.
