Another disappointment. Again, a few redeeming qualities, but overall the story was unimpressive and actually skipped over the parts I would have thought would be the most interesting. (Once everyone has been all riled up all night about the Martian invasion, wouldn’t you want to see them once they finally figure out it was all a hoax? I sure did. And I sure didn’t get to see that.) In addition, the writer and co-writer/director were idiots during the Q&A. “We actually had one of the extras die while we were in town filming.” “Fortunately we found out she had a pre-existing condition, so it wasn’t our fault.” “Yeah, ha ha, it wasn’t our fault.” No sympathy for the woman or her family. Again, I can’t recommend this film to anyone.
