I have seriously mixed emotions about this. I look at it as a good idea of which 1/3 was well implemented and 1/4 was poorly done. A lot of the first half was slow and talky, and when I was just about bored with the whole thing something very interesting happened. They played with that for a while, then the explanation of what was going on involved way too much “hand waving”–didn’t really explain why they were doing what they were doing. On the plus side, the cinematography was good and really helped set the mood.

I had to think on this overnight, but in the end I’ve decided the flaws overruled the surprises for me.
