Just another case where I am out of touch with the film festival crowd… I will give this movie points for raising interesting questions about love and marriage. But I was very disappointed by the direction—some shots intentionally out of focus, way too many static medium shots of two people talking (with way too much dialog, by the way). And the score of all classical music (played on synthesizers?) that was too loud and distracting. Ugh. Then the first two questions in the Q&A weren’t even questions: “I loved the classical music and the way you used it to underscore character and story!” And “You’re a wonderful director and you should never give it up!” As I said, ugh. Watch this one at your own risk.
