The first 90% of the film is just fun. You wonder if there really is a story here, but don’t mind if there isn’t because the bits are funny and full of familiar faces. And then the end does show there was a story all along.
At the Q&A afterwards, the director said all those bits were fully formed sketches they filmed, even if they only used parts in this film. He hopes to find a way to make them available in their entirety, and I hope he can, too.
