An engaging story about an old, humbled man revisiting his past and reclaiming a bit of its glory. Udo Kier is fantastic in this role! The script was mostly good with interesting choices, though it had a few annoying conveniences that it glossed over. And my eye caught a couple of continuity gaffes without even trying. But emotionally I was involved and really enjoyed exploring this character (based on a real person) and the world he used to live in.
Side note: Was interesting (and pleasing) to see Jennifer Coolidge in a role other than the usual ditzy, super-optimistic characters.
